Local Fall Beverages!
Happy Tuesday, everyone! How is everyone enjoying October? These months have just been flying by! If you have read the past few blog posts then you should know by now that I am just one big fall fanatic, and the Miller’s Meat Market blog is beginning to resemble a fall fan page! There’s no harm in that, right!? There are so many things to love about the crisp fall weather, and one of those things is definitely having a delicious warm drink in your chilly hands. It is so nice starting my day off with something tasty to warm me up on my way into work, and the fall flavors are impossible to resist! There are plenty of spots around Lewis county that are offering delicious beverages that go right along with the season. I have tried a drink from all of these businesses, and I have yet to be disappointed! After reading this blog you will be torn next time you are deciding where to get a nice fall treat, so make sure you give all these local business a try while their specialty fall drinks are on the menu. You do not want to miss out! On my list of top tier local places to get festive fall drinks is Gary’s Restaurant, PB&J Café, and Moving Mountains Café. Each of these local business offer different types and flavors of fall weather appropriate drinks, and they all are fantastic. Keep reading to see what you need to try this October and November!
Pictured below are some specialty hot chocolates that you can get at Gary’s Restaurant. Drinks like these are perfect to sip on while you chat with your lunch date. There is nothing better than catching up with friends while you warm up with something tasty! Gary’s is a great family friendly restaurant with delicious homestyle plates of such a wide variety. There is definitely not a lack of yummy options when you sit down to eat at Gary’s! Not only will you find a hearty meal to enjoy, but everyday there is homemade desserts available as well. A specialty hot chocolate with a piece of homemade cake or pie!? Sounds like the perfect combination to me! You can get one of these yummy cocoas from Gary’s on Monday- Friday from 8AM to 2PM. They are open for breakfast and lunch!
The first photo is a picture of a hazelnut hot coco, then a drink that is new to Gary’s this year, a pumpkin spice latte, followed by a cup of mocha joe with added raspberry, and lastly on the right is a salted caramel hot chocolate. Be sure to try one of these before the season is over, or try all three and see which you love the most! They look great in the photos, just imagine how tasty they would be!
Next up I highly recommend the PB&J Café! We love this little spot in Lowville and we have never once been disappointed. It is regularly that we at Miller’s order lunch from PB&J, and every time it is as tasty as could be. It was earlier this season when my co-worker, Nicole, brought me a maple steamer one morning from PB&J. It was delicious, and it made me so excited for fall! It was that morning that my idea for this blog popped into my head. A break from our regular Dunkin’ coffee was refreshing, and just made we want to try more drinks from more local business. When I reached out to the café to see what fall favorites they have on their beverage menu, they came through with some very delicious looking options that couldn’t be any more perfect for fall. This local café is a perfect place to catch up with a friend. The atmosphere is peaceful and homey, and I can’t get enough of the bagel sandwiches! If you haven’t tried PB&J, get to it! And don’t wait until these special fall drinks are off the menu!
Above you are seeing three super tasty fall drinks from the PB&J Café. Pictured we have a classic pumpkin spice latte, you can’t go wrong with that in October! There is also a pumpkin white mocha, and a maple ginger latte. Each of those sounds like perfection in a cup! Next time you need a place to unwind with a nice warm, fall flavored drink, don’t forget about PB&J! I can’t wait to try these this fall!
Lastly, I want to tell you all about Moving Mountains Café! This place is spectacular, and it is the only business out of these three that hasn’t been featured on the blog before today! Just like Gary’s and PB&J, Moving Mountains is a great environment to bond with the people you love over good food and drinks. Specialty fall drinks to be specific! They have a great fall menu so you are bound to find the seasonal flavor that you are craving. Moving Mountains Café is located in Croghan, a step outside of Lowville but still a perfect local place to stop for coffee or breakfast. You can visit the Moving Mountains Café anytime from 5AM to 2PM any day of the week except for Sunday. This café always has something delicious, so be sure to stop in and try a specialty fall drink next time you are out and about enjoying the fall weather!
Moving Mountains has one of the most elaborate fall drink menus that I have seen yet! So many delicious options that would be perfect any day during the next few fall months. On their menu they offer a pumpkin chai latte with sweet cream cold foam, a caramel apple latte, a salted caramel white mocha iced latte with salted caramel cold foam, of course a classic pumpkin spice latte, and one last drink called “the perfect fall frappe”. The perfect fall frappe is a pumpkin, caramel, and cinnamon loaded frappe topped with caramel drizzle and pumpkin drizzle with added cinnamon spice. Wow, that one really does have all the fall flavors! Of all these options, I don’t have a clue what one I want to try most! Clearly, if you decide to try Moving Mountains you will not struggle to find something delicious.
Are you craving something pumpkin spice yet!?
I sure am! I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I LOVE fall. Writing about all my favorite fall flavors has got me wanting to visit these local business as soon as possible! We love to include local business in our blog posts, so we are very happy to recommend the fall beverages from these three local spots. Like I earlier stated, I have tried drinks from all three places and they are all a 10/10 from me! But go and try them out for yourself! Continue to support local businesses next time you need a coffee. Remember to share this blog so other’s can see these special fall drinks, and check out the Facebook pages of these three local eateries.
